Can you bruise and bleed easily with normal platelets I read if someone does have cirrhosis and it’s causing you to bleed easily and bruise your platelets will be low and inr will be elevated is that right or no ? Cannot get straight answers. And if your platelets are normal it will mean cirrhosis is not causing the easily bleeding and bruising because your inr would be normal and you would not have cirrhosis right?

Hi, have a look at the thread between Basic1 and Powertripgirl on the Fatty liver forum. They are discussing the same topic, hope this helps

Thank you for your private message replies…. I prefer to keep things on the forum if I can since the abuse that’s been going on. The post is there, right at the top if you sort by latest, under the heading Bruising…. The site experts have replied, hope that helps

You nearly worded the post the same as you did last time when you were provided with quite a comprehensive answer - ALL your tests show you do not have cirrhosis, 3 years of PM's back and forth and countless threads on the forum have all provided you with answers. Your platelets as well as every other blood tests are normal, scans have shown normal and you have reported next to no symptoms. As has been said repeatedly the only way for you to get and EXPERT definitive answer to all these questions you have is to see a doctor for a thorough work up. I know you are in the US, have no insurance etc. but there must still be a way for you to access some healthcare.

Got a question because cannot get straight answers. Just say someone did have cirrhosis and was having easy bleeding and bruising your platelets would be low right? And your inr would be abnormal right? So with that being said if your platelets are normal your inr will be normal also meaning cirrhosis is not causing the bleeding and again right? Because people on here keep saying if you have cirrhosis your platelets will be low and inr will be abnormal. Then you get people saying if you are bleeding get inr test doesn’t make no sense they are just saying things to say them. I read if you have cirrhosis and it’s causing your easy bleeding and bruising your platelets will be low and inr will be abnormal. If someone knows real answer let me know thanks.
