I had a baby Bertha which got operated on in May. Bloody Eck!! Painful!! It’s still giving me grief! Have to taper off the endone soon! Coming off that evil stuff is difficult!!
How’s everything going? Who is fighting with who! 😂
Anyway, I’ll try and have a look here more often! I promise! I’ve been very busy in a Facebook liver cirrhosis group. That keeps me out of mischief!
That’s my second hernia scar. If anyone asks, I got it during the war 😂

Glad you’re feeling better after your op. I wondered what had happened to you, you’re always so cheerful and upbeat in spite of what you’ve been through. I wish people would just stay in touch, it’s surprising how you feel you “know” people and begin to care even after a short while. May your good health continue for a long, long time.
My goodness long time no hear indeed…but wait..is it really you? There’s no joke to make us all laugh 😂. Oh and these days hardly anyone is fighting with anyone - not like the good old days hehe!
That scar really suits you by the way….where would you be without a scar like that eh….not the Bob we all know and love that’s for sure 😀👍. Although maybe we remember - well I remember- the Big Bertha piccies the most.
After tomorrow I will have my second post TP incisional scar as well but I don’t think I will be brave enough to post a piccie - although a before and after could be fun maybe 😀.
Have you got a mesh in there? (It is the mesh that’s reacted with something that is causing my op tomorrow).
Please come back and post some more of your down under jokes eh Bob!
Good to hear you are doing well even after Baby Bertha.
I'm not here very often either as husband's cirrhosis is more or less stable and we've gone on to other health issues. The focus on these issues has made it more difficult to stay in touch on here.
A young man walks onto the stage of Stars in their Eyes, on crutches, with a plaster cast from his feet to his hips.
Matthew Kelly Introduces him as Simon.
'It's very brave of you to come out here,' says Matthew.
'Please tell the audience what happened?'
'Well' replies Simon 'about a year ago, I was driving with my uncle when we had a really bad accident. Unfortunately my uncle was killed outright but I survived. I was trapped in the car for six hours before I was eventually cut free.'
'The doctors had me in surgery for 12 hours but they couldn't save my legs.'
'That's terrible. But I see you have legs now. Are they artificial?' asks Matthew.
'No Matthew, while I was in hospital the doctors informed me that my uncle had in fact died, but that his legs were fine and with all the advances in medical science, they could graft the bottom half of his body onto mine.
As you can see the operation was successful. I have been having physio-therapy for six months and hope to be walking fully again by the end of the year.'
A huge round of applause erupts from the audience.
Kelly responds with: 'That's an unbelievable story.
