New to this, and worried.

Hello

I am really confused and scared at the moment.

I am 31 and have been overweight/obese my whole life. A few months ago I had a blood test and my doctor noticed that my liver enzymes had been elevating since the last time I had a blood test.

I had more blood tests and an ultrasound scan and was told I probably have fatty liver.

The specialist ordered blood work and a fibroscan but wasn't overly concerned, just told me to loose weight, which has been going really well so far.

However yesterday I went for my fibroscan and the nurse told me my liver stiffness is at 15 and I have fibrosis. I have to wait to hear from the doctor.

This has sent me into a panic as when I looked that number up it seems very high and mostly attributed to severe scarring of the liver and cirrhosis.

Is this a death sentence? I honestly know nothing about it, but Google has not been my friend.

I dont drink or smoke, I feel like this has come out of nowhere.

I guess I am just looking for a bit of advice, thank you.
