Hi all,
I have been researching into peptides recently and stumbled across some information on a peptide called bpc-157. It is a healing peptide that is found in the gastric juices that naturally occur in small amounts in the stomach. Bpc-157 is what they named it, standing for body protection compound, and has been produced as a administrative peptide either orally or subcutaneously.
After reading some more about its effects, I found some articles that talk specifically about its hepatoprotective properties. Studies have found it actually helps the liver heal and lab tests, conducted on rats, have shown it reduces liver legions and other bile duct related injuries. It's hard to find information on whether this quantifies as a possible remedy for liver fibrosis, as a liver legion to my understanding is different.
Either way, this seems to be quite a astonishing discovery, atleast for me, and I am surprised there has been no mention of this compound or the findings that have been published on this forum. Has anyone heard of this or tried using it for liver issues? As much as I am aware there haven't been any human studies conducted on this compound, but there are lots of anecdotal reports of people using it for sporting injuries like muscle tears and joint injuries with good success through accelerated healing. It also appears to have healing effects on the GI tract, so has generalised systemic healing properties.
Let me know what you guys think. You think this could be beneficial for liver fibrosis?
