I have seen people mention not eating sushi or fish such as tuna because of the Mercury. My consultant never informed me of this being an issue when we discussed diet.
Is it really that bad to have it? I am a massive sushi lover and I'm torn with it as while some people say its bad I cant see anywhere on BLT to state this, unless I'm missing it? I also love all shellfish too.

Hi,
There is a little bit about this issue towards the end of the nhs guidance. Here is the link:
Not heard the Mercury argument before. However, with shell fish and uncooked fish there is a higher risk of getting infections from eating them as certain types of bacteria that don't agree with us can get to pretty high levels in those species. I think that is probably closer to the reason and its certainly the reason we are advised to avoid them after transplant.
