My last 3 ferritin levels have been 187, 217 and the last 197.
My gp thinks thats ‘just me’ and we should stop monitoring.
I’m 65 year old female. Has anyone had anything similar?
Take care all

Hi Ghops, we kindly ask that no blood results are posted on the forum as no one here is medically trained to interpret them. Can I ask if you have been given a diagnosis of liver disease or are you concerned about the health of your liver? Take care,

Oh, sorry didn’t realise. I’ve seen a few posts stating their levels so thought it ok. I don’t want anyone to diagnose me , just wondering if it’s fairly normal .
Hi Ghops, it's no problem - sometimes we don't manage to get round to messaging all the posts with results on them
In terms of liver health, a diagnosis is made by bloods, scans and an individual assessment, rather than one blood test eg Ferritin.
Symptoms of a low ferritin (ie iron deficient anaemia) can be lack of energy, shortness of breath and palpitations.
Warmest wishes

The normal range for Ferritin is: (Female over 40) is 10 - 291. Yours seems really good. My recent test showed 45, which is also within normal range but I thought it within the lower normal range.
