I have posted a couple of times and I have been diagnosed with NAFLD and my last letter said borderline cirrhosis and severe fatty liver which came as a shock.
Anyway, I have been working very hard to lose weight and exercising everyday and have managed to lose 1 stone 7lb so far since January. I have roughly another 3 stone to lose to put me into a BMI under 25, I have another appointment and ultrasound in June and I want to get this sorted as soon as possible before its too late.
My question is how long does it take for weight loss to start having positive effects on my blood results and fatty liver ? Id like to think even the small amount I've lost so far would be having a good effect!

Hi Jaygee.Every pound you lose is a great achievement and will be having a great effect on the improvement of your liver. Not just your liver but your health in general. The excess weight you are losing means less stress on your joints so reducing the chances of damage later on. Excercise will become easier and you will be able to increase your fitness goals to keep your muscles toned and strong and weightloss continuing . So well done. Don't worry about timescales, everyone is different just be assured what you are doing is allowing your fatty liver to recover so keep up the good work.
