Just wondering if the constant need for protein ever decreases? Since hubby’s diagnosis a year ago, he can’t go anywhere without a protein bar or drink in his pocket. We walk every day and yesterday he forgot his snack. I thought we weren’t going to make it home without him collapsing. He has to eat every two hours, more if exercising.

I know my hubby saw a liver specialist dietician who put hubby on the eat every 2 hours - proteins and carbs diet and more when exercising back in 2013 and he still has to follow that advice. Last year he was diagnosed with early onset cirrhosis induced diabetes and I had a telephone consultation with same dietician who told us he still had to 'fuel' for his cirrhosis rather than cutting out carbs or sugars as someone with diabetes might have to.
I'll pm you a wee bit of information.
