Aww lovely post Ash. I was a tad shocked reading the thread I’m guessing you are talking about. We are all different and have different opinions and ways of expressing ourselves... I’m autistic so I know all about being taken the wrong way 😁. In today’s world I’m seeing a lack of tolerance for differing opinions.... we just all need to be tolerant and kind. Nobody is right or wrong when it comes to general opinion. X
Here here Klingons12 👍
Nice one Ash!Far more than enough problems in the world at this moment to deal with without folks falling out on here. In one way or another we're all in this boat together. Take a deep breath, count to ten and give each other some elbow room I reckon.
It's a lovely day tomorrow! ( I hope )
All good wishes
Alf
I'm shocked too how people talk to each other. As the wife of someone with cirrhosis caused by habitual drinking with no break, I applaud Coco for giving advice to drinkers who have realised they have a drinking problem but whose livers have not yet declined as far as cirrhosis. I remember when my husband ended up in A&E vomiting blood not even knowing he had a problem with his liver but showing signs that it probably was caused by this he said 'well, I know the liver can regenerate'. Heartbreakingly it was too late for that although he gave up drinking straight away. I myself, want to shout out to people who habitually drink but feel like cirrhosis won't happen to them, do you have any idea what will happen if you carry on like this? So I feel Coco has a valuable place on this board.
Of course, so do people like Laura, who unfortunately has personal experience from a spouse/partner point of view & Millie, who has direct experience of liver disease. Like Ash says, it would be nice for everyone to get along and realise everyone is coming from a different place.
Wholeheartedly agree Supportinghubby, each and everyone of us are different, all different ailments, some with high alcohol tolerances some with none as I've seen people in my meetings been on bottle of vodka every night for 5 years and they don't have Cirrhosis, then someone who has drunk 5 pints of Guinness 7 days a week for 5 years are on there last legs. It's different courses for different horses (don't know if that's the right way round lol) ive got Cirrhosis from 7 years of addiction and nobody to blame but myself but you just got to look on the bright side of it all, I'm still here and I can work with that 👍.

Nice post ash. Coco got banned from main site...personally, I think that’s just a bit too much. Never saw her personally insult anyone, unfortunately quite a few will if you question them. I think disagreeing can be helpful, but if people attack me, I would rather they done it on a PM than drag a post away from a possibly helpful outcome.
Hi Cam ... he's a bloke
Morning Miss Laura🤪....always wanted to do bullet points 😂Thank you.
5 likes? Who? It wasn’t exactly a Katie post.
I think the picture gives it away😂. (Ash is a bloke)
Why assume I thought otherwise, I never referred to ‘him’ as miss, you females or hen😂
Thanks for the shout out though, stay warm🥶.
CocoChannel is a bloke .... a lot of people including yourself referred to him as she/ her. Easy mistake to make since the name would suggest female.
It’s ridiculous that Coco got banned!! The post was not offensive in the least and I had also seen a post on the Dry January Facebook page extolling the virtues of imbibing a bottle of red wine and was appalled. Just as Coco was. The wrong person got banned in this situation in my opinion.
The situation has been resolved so needs to be put to rest now. Any new posters will be put off reaching out for help on this forum if such comments are left to continue. We all have different experiences of liver disease, it's causes, treatments and outcomes so the important thing is that we reply to the posts we can relate to and respond to safely and accurately.
Just because you don’t constantly post doesn’t mean you are not following this forum or dealing with liver issues. But have no fear. Due to the toxic nature of the posts in question I won’t be following any more.
Well said Ashw88. I saw those posts yesterday and have to say I was shocked at the bad feelings in them clearly as a hangover from previous disputes and not helpful to anyone particularly those who are fighting a liver condition which may or may not have been caused by alcohol. Seem to have missed the point of the forum which is to help others.
Good post Ash.
Given that there's even a response to a comment here following a similar tack, which itself has received a number of 'likes', the need for your statement couldn't be clearer. Its a pertinent reminder of, "be careful 'how' you say something as well as 'what' you say".
Well said Ash, I am sorry that Coco has been banned as I always thought she gave very good advice based on her experiences.

Hi Ash. Just want to say CocoChannel has liked my replies correcting 2 people on HIS gender. It's good to see your post is bringing good feeling back to this forum .Laura x
I didn't know she was a he, but he seemed like a she to me so its deffo a he and not she.....back in bit need a wee 🤣 x
He's also Harry Houdini !
I can sense.....I'm not sure but don't count me on it 😅 lol a little undertone of sarcasm? I don't know what's gone on round here lately between members but as we can't all sit round a table, talk things out like adults, or go outside and I challenge you to a duel type charade.....I think the best way forward is....Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase...🦁🐗🐘🦒 Hakuna Matata, come on sing it with me..🥳🤣🤣
Not at all Ash all is well x
Good morning Ashw88!
I whole heartedly agree with your sentiment, however I am closing this post to replies after further reports.
It is never the intention of moderators to curb difference of opinion and conversation, but unfortunately in the last few days, both on the open forum and via private messages, the situation has become challenging to say the least.
Can I remind everyone of our community guidelines which are in the pinned posts.
Take care, wishing you all a peaceful Sunday
