Discharged after 3 years of investigations

My dearest friends

As some of you are aware for the past 3 years I have been investigated for PBC based on weakly AMA positive results in year 1, which led too further ongoing investigations that included MRI, CT fibroscans and monthly blood tests!

Today I received written confirmation that I'm to be discharged from my hepatologiest department as my LFT's have been stable for the past 12 months! πŸ˜ƒ

It was confirmed that I must carry on improving my mild case of NAFLD and Esophagitis by re continuing my previous exercise routine and healthy eating life style to reduce my weight!

Unfortunately since my mad sky dive in March I've had 2 nasty accidents, which included fracturing my leg causing me to gain a stone in weight πŸ‘ŽπŸ˜‘! Anyway this mad FlyingArrow is back on track πŸ™„cyclying around 15 kilometres a day and NOT 30 as previous which some of you maybe pleased to know!

Some of you may remember I had somekind of virus in January which left me with a husky voice and chest infection. Well unfortunately I still have the sexy husky voice 🀣🀣🀣 which I'm now under going fortnightly speech therapy sessions, the second session is being carried out todayπŸ˜πŸ‘.

Anyway I guess its time to finish off my waffling and to wish you all a Merry forthcoming Christmas πŸŽ„ and May 2021 be a good year for us all!

Love and loads of hugs to you everyone!

Trish πŸ’•

PS ...has anyone been watching an Korean TV series on Netflix? K2, Healer plus The Empress Ki based on historical facts brilliant, all sub titled by the way .

Hi Trish,

Good to hear from you, and also good to read that you have been discharged from the liver team.

Do make sure that your fatty liver is monitored moving forwards. Take care of yourself, no more accidents!

Warm wishes

Trust1

Hi Trust1Firstly, its lovely to hear from you again!

Can I ask a question, how do I get my fatty liver monitored if I'm no longer under the hepatologiest?

Trish

There is NICE guidance for the management of NAFLD, which includes fibrosis testing criteria- Your GP will have access to that.

Hiya Boot

Firstly, I'm all smiles 😊😊😊 as its so lovely to hear from you again! πŸ‘plus it was my pleasure to raise the funds for BLT! You've just reminded me that I'm waiting to hear from Louise Crook at the BLT, she called me a few weeks ago about something coming up but I've heard /received nothing in the post! She deals with the charity fund raising side of things so I'llhave to give her a call!

Anyway feel free to pm me anytime!

Love Trish xxx

What great news that's fantastic 😊 can I also asked what are the series you mentioned. X

Hi Belleek

Many thanks for your note!!

Re your question - I'm not exactly sure what your asking for?

I was originally diagnosed with an autoimmune disease after a routine blood test which pointed to PBC! 18 months later my on going high GGT of 298 plus other raised bloods then pointed to possibly having Sarcoidosis due to having out of the blue flare ups of not feeling well !!

As my bloods were all over the place I was then sent for a CT then MRI due to having existing nodules on my lungs which the consultant was to check was not Sarcoidosis! They were related to having TB as a child.

Anyway my bloods are not totally normal but now stable enough !!

I must say its been a rocky road for 2 of the 3 years after under going numerous other procedures- camera up and down plus a few minor ops!

I have however noticed that my bloods started to reduce almost immediately being prescribed Omeprazole twice daily after I was diagnosed with an inflamed Esophagus which I believe could have contributed to my raised LFT's.

Anyway, is any of the above of interest?

Trish x

The Korean Netflix series are ....K2 - 40 episodes

HEALER - 20 Episodes

THE Empress Ki - 51 episodes

Ji Chang Wook is the main actor in all 3 series who I thought was one of the most talented actors I've ever come across and he's only 34! You can read all about him on the web!

Hi I'm so so pleased for you. I know it has been a tough 3 years for you. I'm sure you will lose your weight, I have every faith in you.

Love and hugs Lynne xxxx β€οΈπŸ’œ

Many thanks Lynne, I will try my best to reach my new target which isn't going to be so easy this time around with so many healthy food restrictions like tomatoes, onions, chilli, fruit juice plus crusty rolls etc etc which I adore as you know, but hopefully in time my cookery talents will adjust to new food ideas.
