need advice is this terry nails

need some help here or just some opinions i will admit i dont have the best toenails and need too correct the improper cutting ive noticed my nails are very brittle with a whitish pinkish nail with a pink tip and of course dr google would say they could resemble terry nails.. I just got bloods done for diabetes and cholesterol and results where slightly above normal but doctor does not seem to think diabetes and cholesterol was fine... ive shown him my nails before and he thought there could be a slight fungal infection i asked about terry nails and he was not very receptive of thinking that was it... ive been diagnosed years ago with a fatty liver but have never really followed up on my condition im not much of a drinker but when i do i binge lol... Trying to convince him to test for liver thyroid and a total cbc too make sure everything is in working order.. ive included pictures and any insight would be appreciated thank you..

If you have fatty liver, high cholesterol and borderline diabetes, you need to change your diet. Eliminate fatty, salty and sugary foods. You may think you're "not much of a drinker" but if you are binge drinking then you ARE a drinker and the alcohol will be damaging your liver. A referral to a liver dietician would be beneficial to you and in the meantime eat plenty of fruit and veg, fish and lean white meats for protein and small but daily portions of carbohydrates. You should also be taking regular daily exercise. Over the coming months your liver will heal so you won't need to be worrying and googling information about what conditions you may or may not have. But you must stick to a healthy eating plan, if you go back to old bad habits your liver may not be so forgiving and you could face a lifetime of severe illness and pain. So nip it in the bud now.

As Laura says, Forum guidelines ask that pictures and results are not posted. You mention that you were diagnosed with a fatty liver some years ago but never really followed up on it. It is really important that you DO have follow up for this. You need to know whether it is progressing. A fatty liver is potentially serious in itself but if you add binge drinking into the equation then you are magnifying the chances of serious damage to your liver.

Please do discuss appropriate followup for your condition with your GP, in some cases referral to a liver secialist (hepatologist) may be necessary.
