Are these being prescribed to you by a doctor? If so it really is them you need to check with and the pharmacist to see if there are any contraindications with your liver illness. It does say on all the guidance I just looked at on line - "Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: liver disease."

It is usually used in combination with statins and lifestyle changes. You really need to clarify all this with your own doctor.

Check with your doctor or a pharmacist - they are often more 'up to date' on contraindications or conflicts with existing health conditions. None of us are qualified to comment really.

I've taken them for years and my consultant is OK with it. I take them because I had nasty side effects from statins.
