Well not been on here for a few years, been such a long road..
On NewYears eve 2019 I tried to commit suicide I was drunk at the time.
After being admitted to AE I was offered a 14 day rehabilitation to get the alcohol from my system. I completed it I was 28 days sober but then fell off the wagon again and was binge drinking 2 to 3 times a week.
I had severe stomach pains for 12 weeks and still drank. On the 23rd March they called time on pubs in the UK due to coronavirus, that night I knew it would be my last drink.
Coronavirus should not have happened but closure of pubs saved my life.. I am now 9 weeks sober, I hope I never go back drinking I cannot say never but I am here I feel so much better, my skin is clear, my mental health is better although I still feel suicidal at times after being diagnosed with ptsd and a personality disorder I feel much better.. ♥️

Hi Carey! I remember you from a year ago and so sorry to read you have still had your problems with alcohol and struggles with your mental health.
2020 will go down in history with the coronavirus and all the many problems it has caused in the world but there has also been an awful lot of good come from it too. For you, the consequences of the lockdown have definately been a huge positive for you.... you can look back and say " That was the time l finally gave up drinking, changed my life and saved my life !"
Keep your guard up and look at some coping strategies for when things get back to normal and the pubs are open again!
Speak to your gp or mental health person to see if you can get some support. I’m not saying you will need it but it would be good to have some in place, just in case.
Keep it up, it’s excellent news!
A big virtual, Covid 19 restrictions approved, hug coming your way
Izzy xx
