Just curious if anyone have had biopsy and confirmed diagnosis of cirrhosis and have very low fibroscan number .....?
Does anyone diagnosed liver cirrhosis ... - British Liver Trust
Does anyone diagnosed liver cirrhosis by liver biopsy have low fibroscan measurement ?
You are still trying to convince yourself you have cirrhosis when ALL tests are to the contrary - Fibroscan can give false highs and i've never heard anyone saying it gave a lower score in a diagnosis of cirrhosis.
Please, try and help yourself get on with life. You've been on here this week offering advice to others re. reversing fibrosis, fatty liver yet are still convincing yourself you've got cirrhosis.
Trust your medics, live well, try your mindfulness again and those symptoms you keep convincing yourself are cirrhosis will go away.

No, my fibroscan was high, 44 ka something like that, so they decided to do the biopsy, this is when i was diagnose with cirrhosis, under a certain score, you do not need a biopsy, this Sat i am in for the camera thing, being sedated because Rob is a pussy
My Fibro was a score less than yours & I was diagnosed cirrhosis without an opsy, although a similar phrase to ofeckman got a mention. 🙄
Ofeckman, can I ask what your fibroscan score was. I too like kuda believe I could have cirrhosis, my symptoms are getting worse and a study that I found said as many as 11% can have a false negative on a fibroscan. False negatives can definitely happen. I know most people get straight forward diagnosis but there are others who don't, especially if the cirrhosis is inactive or is macronodular. I'm still waiting on my ELF blood results so I'm hoping to know more then. Thanks x
You know I think they got mine wrong but maybe I'm dreaming. I did have minor symptoms aches pains weak muscles etc after detox but 🤞 they've gone. 24.1 says otherwise. Plus he didn't take any bloods at my second only consultation on the 7th🤔
Thanks ofeckman. I've had 2 fibroscans, one at 5.4 and the other 3.3 but my symptoms are bloating, sweating, cramps, pale oily stools with every bowel movement, night sweats, bile taste in mouth, itching under the skin, an itch I can't scratch which is bad at night, very tired all the time. Pain in my liver area, especially the back, sensitive around the side, and I really can't take any medication anymore, as soon as I do the sweating and pain starts I believe mine was caused by medication. I can also feel my liver, even my husband felt it, there is like a bump on it. Waiting on ELF results. I'm only in my thirties so I shouldn't be this exhausted all the time. I'm scared beyond belief. I know everyone on here had been in a similar situation too. X
Some list that, I'd had what I called minor symptoms + night sweats you've reminded me, but think that was the drink leaking out my pores. Hope the elf bloods pick up on something.
I got a physical examination but would have preferred bloods as well.
He checked my hands, skin for veins, abdominal poke, I've no bathroom issues, he covered it till nx time?
Is it not false positives more the case as inflammation of liver affects the result with a higher reading. Yours could be anything but. I didn't have any pain either.
I got a diagnosis but I don't believe it, I wish. 🤞🙄
Do u have insomnia?
Yes, but I've always been a bad sleeper so I've always been up during the night. What are your symptoms kuda? You can have a false negative on a fibroscan, it's not common but a small percentage of people do. I've spoken to the BLT about this and they recommend I keep pushing for answers. I'm really worried. It's getting worse by the day x
I have insomnia ,severe hair fall everywhere from the body ,sometimes change in stool color loss of appetite ocassionally ...I have every single test done except a liver biopsy but no clue .....
Same here, all tests normal. I try to tell myself it's not my liver but it's pretty clear. As soon as I take any kind of meds the pain in my back where the the liver is and my URQ start to throb and I start sweating, the heat is only one one side of my body, the right side. It's like a furnace. Stools are nearly white and oily. I'm terrified and I feel like I'm being fobbed off. This has been going on for 2 and a half years and because the tests were normal my husband thought it was all in my head. But as my symptoms worsen he can see something is wrong he is worried sick too after seeing my stools. not somethimg that you really want to share with the hubby but I needed him to know I wasn't imaging things. He was really freaked out that he could feel a nodule on my liver. I have a GP appt in a few weeks and my husband is coming with me, this had gone on too long, I'm also waiting on ELF results done privately. Keep pushing kuda, you know your own body, it doesn't matter how others were diagnosed. The liver is so complex and everyone is different. Have you considered having the Elf test done? X
Not yet but I am thinking of a mre test ....I heard that it is more sensitive to cirrhosis than TE or ARFI...I don't want to go for a biopsy ..
I was alcoholic in my late 20s ....not a heavy drinker ....I started juicing fruits because I thought that will reverse or detox my fatty liver ....
But more fructose caused insulin resistance and I was diagnosed pre diabetes two years back ...I was not knowing that would have affected my liver .......fruits juices are leaden with fructose that goes straight to the liver and cause more fat
..
So might be mine case OF liver damage is NAFLD . Or alcoholic fatty liver ...I still don't have any clue....
Because of my age they refuse to do further testing. But I too drank heavily in my twenties, 2 bottles of wine a night for years. Binged in my early 30s but maybe monthly 'partying' for 2 nights solid. I'm almost 37 now, this started at age 34 after an accidental paracetamol overdose. The sweating was the first symptoms, hormones were checked incase it was the early menopause but they were normal. I knew it wasn't the menopause because it happened every time I touched alcohol or took a tablet. It happens daily now but worse if I ever dare to take anything. I hope you get answers. I think I'm following you anyway as I'm eager to know how others in the same boat get on. I've had to do all the tests myself besides bloods and 1 ultrasound. The radiologist initially refused me an ultrasound because of my age and my bloods were normal x
