Do you live near London? Can you help with new research re treating depression in liver disease?
Depression is common in liver disease and Dr Kronsten, a researcher from Kings is currently planning a trial at King's College Hospital investigating a new way of treating this.
She would like to set up a small focus group in London to get patient views on this. If you have suffered from low mood, been diagnosed with or treated for depression, have liver cirrhosis of any cause, live within 40 miles of London and would be interested in discussing this further please email victoria.kronsten@nhs.net. Travel will be reimbursed. Thank you!
I am interested in this study as my husband meets the criteria. Please could you send me details so that I can persuade my husband. We live not far from London. Many thanks for any help. Di
I think depression is common in any Chronic Disease that causes pain. FIBROMYALGIA is one such disease.
But you don't hear much,i should say anything about any Specific Research into it . Its an invisible terrible painful disease. I call it .
THE DEVILS DISEASE...
There are a lot of people out there who are in so much pain all the time...
We get so very, very depressed because in our minds we know what we want to do. But we try to get up and move and sometimes can't even get out of bed...
Not even to make ourselves a cup of tea. The trouble is that our condition is invisible. You can't see it, doesn't show up on X RAY'S, doesn't show up on blood tests. Doesn't show up on anything because it's BLOODY INVISIBLE.
The only people that understands it,.
are the people that have it. People like me and a lot of other people that are out there .suffering with a pain so bad you can't even describe it. Its such an evil disease.
