Living on your own
Good Morning. Yes I live on my own. I have been on my own for 15 years now. I am 62 and was diagnosed three years ago. I am alone but have never felt lonely. I do worry about down the line when my cirrhosis gets worse. But I try not to dwell on it. I am however grateful that for now I can do what I want, when I want, and not have to answer to anyone. None of us are promised tomorrow. And I often think, that it is better to be by myself, taking care of myself, and not having to worry about anyone else. It seems selfish, but with this disease, we have to listen to our bodies, and do the best we can for ourselves. I wish you well!!
Ditto Lorraine.
Do you mean pre or post transplant?
Hi, yes, I live on my own.. I know what you mean... I have NAFLD and Cirrhosis.. am fighting it, not giving in to it... it is very limiting, but I make the best of things.. When I feel I can cook, I make batches of things to freeze and just warm up later, to make sure I can eat without too much effort, as effort is one of the hardest things when you feel bad... trying to keep on top of everything is one of the hardest things... Martin
