Just to let you know the transplant went ahead sunday and all going well so far.

What an amazing team at Addenbrookes, we are so grateful to them all and the donor family.

Fingers crossed for the next few days

Melwill,

Now let the fun begin !

Take it easy and slow, its going to be hard work but remember who has a team of nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, cleaners, porters, and the man who brings the newspapers all working to take care of them.

Don't forget you, who now needs to get some time for yourself. Make sure you get some care as well. The rollercoaster has now almost come to a halt and get ready to get off, might be a bit dizzy after all the excitement.

Take care and best wishes to you both.

Jim ( and Lucy )

This is good news indeed. There will be many ups and downs in the weeks and months ahead but as you say, you have a wonderful team supporting you. LAJ123 rightly points out that it is very important that you take good care of yourself too - the whole process is mentally and physically exhausting not just for the person transplanted but for family too.

regards
