I’m seeking your view of whether I should see my GP.....
I have no back or side pain, no jaundice or weight loss but have had a few ‘pale stools’. These are Intermittent and roughly a month apart (they came in pairs, then all normal again). Oh, a few floaters, too.
Early notification of something or completely normal - happens to everyone from time to time...?
With so few symptoms, I would have ignored this but I lost two friends (similar age as me) to pancreatic cancer which is obviously in my mind.
Thanks in advance for your input!
Regards

If You are worried about your health, it's best to discuss this with your GP. It may be after the operation, or it may not... In the end, You need exact answer, don't You?
I'm sorry to bear aby hour 2 friends, you are in my thoughts and prayers . If you aren't sure whether something feels right or not then please make an appointment to see your Gp, this should then give you piece of mind. Please take care. Lynne
Hi Rostom, pale stools can be a simple result of food colouring, think back to what you might have eaten the day before your pale stools. If I have a couple of cheese & piccalilli rolls for lunch, I’m guaranteed to have pale stools the following day or so. I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease in 2007 and I am currently recovering from bowel cancer so have lived with all the worries. But, you know your body so if you think there’s something not right, go get it checked fast. Best of luck 👍🏻
Hi Rostom
I've just read your note and firstly I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your two friends which is sad news but you must remember will always have those wonderful memories you spent together logged up there in your mind! 😁
I too have had my gallbladder removed in October 2016.
Your concerns about your bowel movements could be down to numerous things, stress, changed in food or drink, eating to much when you no longer have your gallbladder can also cause loose or floaty💩💩
Have you been tested for IBS or any other bowel disorder?
Spicy foods can also change bowel movements too!
If you've changed nothing then I suggest like others have already that you visit your GP and explain your changes!
Finally I wish you good luck and please keep us updated
Regards Trish
Good morning Rostom, As the forum members have already suggested, it is always best to seek medical advice if you have any concerns.
I had an emergency appointment with my doctor today about another condition that reared up and I asked if I needed to make separate appointment to discuss the 'pale poo'. I was asked if I had any weight loss, pain or yellow eyes etc (jaundice) - which I have not. The doctor told me not to worry about it unless it happened on a frequent basis, so there was no need to have an appointment to discuss this possible problem.
I hope this may be helpful for anyone else, although I completely concur with what the posters have suggested:, if in doubt, see a doctor!
