I have cirrhosis & my stomach is very swollen & full of air! Has anyone got any tips on how to achieve a smaller stomach?

Are you sure it's not ascites? You should go to your gp get checked out
It sounds like you have ascites. It’s not air it’s fluid and you will need a drain. Go to you GP and he will tell you if it is and refer you
I too have a big stomach, no fluid, just a lot of gas. When I feel up to yoga or some bending or stretching it seems to help.
Wishing you the best

You probably know this, but don't eat foods that can cause the bloat. If you are taking laxitives, that would do it too.
Lactose and some other laxatives turn you into fermentation lab. I found doubling up helped shift wind. Probably water retention as others have suggested have you had it diagnosed?
Hi, I also have liver cirrhosis, and my CRP level was 19. I feel dizzy sick and very fatigued could someone help, s this reading high as doctors not supporting at all, also cold and shivery then feeling very warm. Please please help 😢
Hi Red
Oh dear.. what doctor(s) are you seeing, “just” a GP or one from a Hepatology clinic?
Do you have access to your medical records? If not get your surgery to give you access. I only found out you could ask for this access a few months ago! But if you ask they will/should do it for you and you can ask for access for records going back to date xx/yy. Be careful though there is soooo much info! It has taken me ages to read - but it has been extremely enlightening.
Slightly off topic:- I use this info now for trying to get insurance for travelling - because if you miss something you have previously been diagnosed with but can’t remember (!) and don’t declare it, the insurance company may try and say it was a pre-existing condition and not cover you!
See a different GP or Consultant maybe if you think you are not getting the help you require.
Good luck
