I hope that your appointment goes well tomorrow. Normally at end stage would be the time a transplant could be discussed if it is possible for you to have one?

Hi startlight I'm sorry but I can only see two comments from you on the British Liver Trust, this one and one a year ago. I wasn’t around here then. How are you doing? Are you getting support from your doctors and family and friends?

From reading back your previous posts, this is the first time you've actually mentioned what has been going on with your liver. All previous posts seemed to be you being upset that no one had replied to your hellos though on your first post you did get lots of us saying hi back.

Hopefully now that you have explained a lot of what has been going on people can now step up and give you advice and support. You need to ask for specifics so people can share their experiences and provide appropriate support.

All the best,

Katie

Hi Starlight. Welcome to the British Liver Trust arm of Health Unlocked.

Whatever you have wrong, there's generally someone, somewhere on this site that can offer help and advice, or just a 'chat'. Don't be afraid to 'speak to' anyone on here - remember that strangers are friends we haven't yet met? You may well be able to help someone just like yourself? 🙂🤞

Right ok, I am sorry for what you have been and are going through, it’s a very scary time. There are plenty of people here who have been through a very similar experience who can help you with any questions you have. Come back after your appointment today and let us know how you get on and if you have been given any new information from the doctor. All the best to you 🌻

Hi Starlight. Sorry that you were feeling unwell and not able to go to your appointment. If appointments make you feel anxious would it be possible for your daughter or a friend to go with you as some support when you go to your next one? If you are in end stage cirrhosis it's really important that you are seen at a liver clinic as there could be things that they need to discuss with you or medication or treatment that you may need. Also you could ask about the possibility of transplant assessment. Hoping that you are feeling better now. Best wishes. Alf
