I have seen a gastroenterology doctor (other than the first one)and now I wait for a appointment to have a biopsy.
He said that we need to find out what attacks my liver. We discussed about the medication that I take (because of my other's health issues) and said that no one can produce my liver to be damaged in such a way, only if I have abbuse (like 8 paracetamol 500g dayly), but isn't my case.
I never drinked so, it's not alcoholic.
For how long have you been waiting to have a biopsy?
Can you find out the stage of the cirhosis from biopsy? Or, how you can?
Because I've been so anxious at the appointment, I forgot to ask the most important thing, such help me understand the Fibroscan results.
I hope that you can help me out :
Median - 20,9--I found out from reading all the articles that I've found, that is not very bad.. I have seen much worse reading, such 60-75.Can I understand from my reading that I could be just on the beginning stage of Cirrhosis?
IQR is 1.4---This one I could not understand it very well, maby because I read about F4 Fibrosys, being not more than 0.7.I hope that you can help me out as well.
IQR 7%??What is this?
30%indicates a successful scan!? Is it possible to not be very reliable in this case? Or is indicates that my liver is functioning just within 30%?
Thank you.
