It's horrific the pain especially if it goes well starts with the feet cramping. Try to rub legs together but best answer poor cool or cold water all over the legs starting with the feet. It will be gone immediately however then u need to walk a bit and repeat. Hope I helped a little

Often it is a magnesium deficiency . People with cirrhosis can be depleted in some of the minerals . Magnesium does show up on the general blood tests as a deficiency , you would need a very specific one to be able to tell . I take. Supplement of Calcium , Magnesium and Zinc , no more cramps or aching joints. Have been taking for nearly 4 years and I am a very active DIYer and crafter . My consultants are happy for me to take this as long as I stay under the REcommended adult dose.
Just a word of caution here, those people who have had a liver transplant should avoid using both Magnesium, or zinc supplements as these can interfere with the Tacrolimus anti-rejection medication. On the other hand one of the side effects of Tacrolimus can be muscle spasms. Best to check with a liver transplant coordinator before taking any supplements.
Couldn't agree more, that is why I said my comsultant was happy , to indicateone should always discuss with your medical team . There are other anti rejection drugs than Tacrolimis, as I know some people who up have had a transplant and have to take prescribes Manesium tablets.
