Quick update all,having got used to the pain relief and various other medications my new liver is doing me proudly and I pray I do it proudly sorry if I sound simply to happy but it’s how I feel the nurses / doctors are amazing all within a amazing hospital. Thankyou all and special thanks to my donor and family xx

You are so right J, thank you to all the donor families out there!!! I would not be here if I did not have such a heart felt donor family wishing for life to carry on. When Huw writes his thank you letter to the family (when his time to do so) it will put another perspective on the wonderful gift of live he has been given. I am so thankful every single day! Totally agree I am now day 19 post Transplant and it is an awesome feeling surreal and eternally grateful For the Gift of a new life and the bravery of Donor and Donors family to agree to Donation at a time when in such turmoil preparing to lose a son and maybe he was a husband and father

I cannot imagine the grief they must be going through and what a wonderful gesture of true mankind I will never be able to express in words how grateful I am for the gift of new life

I from wakining up in ICU until now I have been euphoric,high as a kite with stetoids as well as a multitude of other medication
