Ive stumbled across you guys and just wanted to say Hi!.
I personally don't have liver disease but my farther does. He has been under the car of the QE in Birmingham for about 6 years but then transferred to the London Free under Prof. Pinzani.
He is about to undergo the first round of assessments tomorrow at his appointment to get onto the transplant register.
He also suffers from Hepatic encephalopathy, Does anyone else suffer from this?

I am lucky that I don't suffer with HE. Have they prescribed your father any Lactulose or ramafixin (I think that's the name) to help him? How come he has been moved down to the Royal Free for his assessment? Will they not see him at QE - sure that's a transplant hospital too! x
Yh he is on lactulose, ramafixin has never really been suggested.
Yh QE is a transplant hospital but we wasn’t getting anywhere :/ they was just monitoring him with no action. So we asked to be transferred down there. The London Free have been amazing!
That's good news - I am on lactulose 4 x a day it is horrific! So they obviously think he is a viable candidate for transplant or they wouldn't be doing an assessment for him? So long as he follows all the rules about what to do prior to tx when I am sure he will be good. It's not easy mind being on the list.
Sorry to hear that your transplant was unsuccessful :/
HE is terrible thing to have deal with let alone live with it!
He was transferred down to the London Free due to getting no where with the QE all they was doing was “monitoring him”
