Exhausted!

Is anyone suffering from severe exhaustion? I used to have trouble sleeping but now most nights I can sleep until late in the morning and then an afternoon nap! I'm just so tired! Does anyone else with liver fibrosis have this? And another thing, if I'm feeling twinges in my liver area does that mean it's worse, a later stage of fibrosis?

Hi Laura, in my experience fibrosis of the liver did not make me chronically fatigued. Not sure how old you are or your lifestyle,, but if you can get a nap during the day then lovely. The liver itself should not be painful but there are other organs around the same area. Trouble is when you have a liver problem you become Aware of what may be natural twinges and aches.

I was having the little twinges before, the ultrasound, but it's not really painful. I did start having mid to lower right sided back pain about 3 weeks ago but not really bad, though I felt a need for a heating pad. I've had the exhaustion for quite a while. It's really bad. I know I have metabolic syndrome. And they couldn't see other organs with the ultrasound because my liver is big and dense. I'm just at the beginning of all of this so I don't know what else will be found as it progresses. I only know that 3 years ago my stool changed, I became very tired and my stomch got huge. I was dieting and taking kick boxing and cross training but nothing helped. I kept gaining weight. The classes were exhausting me so I stopped.

Hi Lara, I have fibrIsis and also suffer from tiredness and have to go lie down quite a bit. Think it might be something to do with the fibrosis. New here myself , don't know an awful lot, but do know that I get very tired quite often. That's what took me to the doctor in the first place. Then after blood tests, was diagnosed with hepatitis c and fibrosis after scan. 🌈🙏x
