Oh bother

Some of you may have read me complaining about that horrid cold bug that I caught just before going on holiday to Devon. It was also about 4weeks before Christmas and got me for nearly two weeks. There was a good side to it though it put me off eating and I only ate very small meals. Result i managed to lose some weight, quite a lot for me in fact as I struggle to exercise.

So why the oh bother you might ask, especially as I kept the weight off over Christmas. The reason is the cold bug is back and it has mutated. Gone is the bug that makes me not want to eat and in its place is the Winnie the pooh version where I want to eat and eat, especially sweet things.

Hide the chocolate and ice cream and ban custard slices. I see the specialist in February, I want to look like I've lost weight. I don't want to do a pooh bear and get stuck in the doorway.

Hope the hungry bug goes away soon - I don't have liver disease, but I was somewhat pleased when I got a sore throat and cold? and it put me off food for a while. Now back to normal and loving the salty potatoe chips and missing the weight going down - so I'm trying to remember to fake walk when I am standing around at home.

Best wishes, Mary

I'm avoiding the scales until I'm over the bug. The things we have to suffer to lose weight. I still wish it's predecessor bug was the one in charge. I forced myself to grate a carrot and Apple yesterday. Very nice but not a custard slice, with the other bug I would have preferred it. Fortunately salty chips doesn't appeal.it's very sweet tooth orientated. Honestly all these cravings reminds me of when I was pregnant. At least I know that's an impossibility.

Hi may I suggest that you have the flu jab. I had mine in October 2017. I have a jab every year and also had the pneumonia vaccination as I am a diabetic 2 .

Hi

I had one about a month before the first time. I agree they are important. The annoying thing is the only one to escape it was our son who didn't have the flu jab.

Hi faithful.

Cold still running its course. Went work this morning, now feel shattered, going to have a bit of a nap this afternoon. The munchies are starting to lose interest. Eating is feeling a bit of a chore. So I might be able to lose some weight as long as I eat fruit and veg. Not biscuits or cake.

Thank you for asking.
