For those of you that don’t know I have recently moved from the south coast where I was on the list with Kings and emigrated tup north where Leeds will be my local centre.

Finally heard from Leeds yesterday having now had my referral and notes and am due to go and see them for the first time in a few weeks.

Thankfully with regards to listing things sound fairly positive. The TX coordinator I spoke to said I’d need to meet the team etc as I did at Kings and they would like to do some bloods and a new ECG, the only reason for the ECG apparently is because the results/imaging don’t fax very clearly. But other than that there should be no need for a full assessment.

So fingers crossed all should be good and I’ll be active on the Leeds list very soon.

Good luck for you at your new hospital. I hope you'll keep members updated on how things go. I'd be interested to here what Leeds is like after you being at KCH.

I moved from the north last year and now attend Kings. A bit of a treck from Sussex but i was told they are one of the best. Did you find that? You will be in good hands in Leeds. The team there are lovely and i always found them very caring. No flat caps or whipets! I am still homesick for the north but being closer to family was important and i had to retire due to fatigue and brain fog. Would be interested to know where youve moved to.

It can be a bit of a trek, most of the journey is spent driving through London itself. If you do drive up I always used to park via an app called Just Park, you book spaces on peoples driveways. I always parked on a ladies drive on Ferndene Road, very handy, right next to Ruskin Park which you walk through to get to the hospital.

Kings were great, very friendly bunch. Never had any cause to complain.

Im on trials at the moment so monthly trips via train are paid for. Only have another 6 months to go! When this is over i will still go by train. Where have you moved to?
