bronchiectasis (not the Liver section)

A crisis following a cold. I have being treated with antibiotics (6 weeks), but I've become resistant to them. The temperature has now gone but the cough lingers on. Throughout, the nausea has complicated things. Why hasn't gone it away as usual? I've lost a lot of weight, I'm weak and tired.

Any help?

Sorry Amedea your post is a little confusing - you have posted on the site for liver conditions yet in your title put (not the liver section). Your post appears to not be liver related but lung related and I am not sure how members of this liver group can help you.

Do you also have a liver issue or is it this lung one only?

None of us are medically trained and we are only able to give advice, guidance and support based on our personal experiences so I am not sure anyone here can answer the question as to what is going on with your lung condition and it sounds like you need follow up from your medical team and perhaps chest x-rays or other scans to see what is going on.

All the best, Katie

This is Amedea replying, and thanks for replying despite the "confusion". Not being familiar with the system I could only see the page about the liver. I tried the lung section but I couldn't get far. So I took a chance and wrote hoping that someone might transfer my message or tell me what to do. This is my second visit. Got to lungs again, saw a story but ... I'm lost again ...Where to tell my story and hopefully get the right answer ... I'm still searching.

At the top of this page you should see a label 'My Communities'.

If you click that drop down menu you should get a list of any communities you are currently a member of plus the option to ' + Browse Communities' - if you click that it will bring up a complete list A-Z of all the different Health Unlocked forums.

Top right of that page should be a box saying Search Health Unlocked and if you type into that 'Lungs' or 'bronchiectasis' it links to the British Lung Foundation site and brings up other posts on the subject of bronchiectasis.

If you click the green FOLLOW button on the British Lung Foundation site that should give you the same access to that community as you do with the British Liver Trust one.

Leave this page open and re-open Health Unlocked in a new tab and you'll be able to follow these instructions to navigate your way to posts on bronchiectasis & the British Lung Foundation.

Hope that helps, Katie

Yes Katie, I'm sure your help will prove very useful. I've only got to familiarize myself with the system. I keep getting lost!

I'm Leda, by the way. Amedea too!
