Hi Iv just joined this group, I was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis 12 months ago

Hi kat I've been diagnosed 10 years ago with auto hep how are you getting on are you in uk. Which meds are you currently taking I'm on prednisolone n imuran which is azathriprine x

If you do 'Facebook' at all there is a very active and lively AIH support page on Facebook with nearly 1300 fellow AIH patients and their families. It's at :- facebook.com/groups/AIHorgU... and is well worth joining. It is a hidden page so anything you post or is posted on there does not appear to all your wider friends etc.

The same support group also has their own forum although it has largely gone quiet since the Facebook page took off.

Hi, also diagnosed about 8 years ago. I can recommend the Facebook group. Even if you don't enjoy Facebook (I don't particularly), then I can recommend going to the meetups (twice yearly) as you will meet people who have been recently diagnosed like yourself and also be able to listen to the latest developments in research etc from the top consultants dealing with this disease.

The group also has information about travel insurance etc in documents that you can access once a member, which might answer some of your enquiries as well.
