joint pain

It is getting colder here in nc my joints hurt all the time, i cant seem to get warm. On sunny days if I can get shelter from wind I love to sit in sun. dr gave me gabapentin 3 to 400 mg as needed. I have tried light yard work and walking but joints still hurt mostly legs and hips. I guess the cirrhosis just has a mind of its own.

I suffer really bad with the cold , I can't ever get warm . Whrn I go out I am wrapped up more than anyone else , even at home I have plenty of layers on .. Roll on the summer , that's the only time I feel " relaxed " and well

hi jeff

i know what your going through im suffering with pain all over ,,joints mostly,,,i know about the meds your takin and thats my next ask down the docs ,,im currently takin amitriptyline 30/40 mg and they seem to be helping its early days ,,,i do get amazing sleep with these,,,they are an antidepressant but work as a pain receptor blocker,,,i feel better but not 100%,,hope this helps

Point of information.

One thing the healthy liver does is provide a source of internal heat. A lot of the chemical processes that take place in the liver are what is called an 'exothermic reaction' meaning as a by product they produce heat. In the diseased liver this is reduced.
