Biopsy results

I just got my biopsy results back. They thought I had cirrhosis from fatty liver causing my varacies. But turns out I have the same disease Bernie Mac had. I had very little fatty on my liver and no cirrhosis. So not sure if I should be relieved or just as worried?

Can't really help with any knowledge about your condition.  I did look it up quickly and the NHS has quite a detailed page on the condition plus there are specific support  groups for it so hopefully someone at one of those associations might offer more accurate advice.  nhs.uk/conditions/sarcoidos...

All the best going forward, Katie

I do not know anything about your specific disease- but it sounds positive that there is no cirrhosis. Read what Ayreshire K has to say.

HI

I would say its a positive, no Cirrhosis is surely always a very good thing!?

A few questions I would ask the doctors:

Varices: With no Cirrhosis will they stay the same?  Are they now less risky?

What does this mean for the future of my Liver?

Will this condition get any worse and is it treatable?  Are/will other organs get affected?

Thanks it's in the liver there is a little fibrosis around the affected area. Not treatable.she said we will check varacies every year. If the disease goes to the lungs treatable with steroids
