E-Petition to protect immunocompromised patients against construction dust and associated air pollution.

Hi everyone,

Since my wife's lung transplant we have discovered that respiratory patients, immunocompromised patients or indeed any vulnerable humans have no automatic protection in UK Planning Law when development is considered. Considering the amount of new homes planned for 2016 alone, many people are going to be affected. This is wrong and needs to change as Bats and other selective animals species are protected. Surely a human's health should also have equal, if not more protection?

So please read more and sign and share the e-petition I have created below. Also remember in any petition, children also count as there is no age requirement. So ask all your family and friends and share wherever you like on social media please as we need to get this to hit the thousands for me to take it to Parliament. You can use the same email address for different people in your household by the way, if some do not have email addresses.

Thanks

Wayne

Wayne can you also post to Thyroid UK please, I tried to copy and paste but couldn't - there are many of us on there with compromised immune systems! I live in France now I'll try and sign it myself from here but often my IP address stops me where UK petitions are concerned albeit I am a British National/Citizen . Thanks. Shirley.

All done and Dusted Wayne - No problems you wrote a simple one, it let me sign and accepted my location - email receive and link clicked before I came back to you on here :-)

Come on folks I'm only no. 115! I don't think it took more than 30 seconds to do!

Cheers Sambs. If everyone who signs asks a few more to sign and share with another few it will quickly gather pace. Feel free to share it on any websites, social media, emails too. Also remember that you can use the same email for different family members and children are also able to petition.

I am doing this in the interests of all patients who could be affected in the future. I am certain my wife has not been the first and will not be the last but currently we have racked up nearly two years arguing this point to try and stop all parties and make them come to their senses first.

Why a human's health is not a consideration for a planning officer to make any decisions is beyong me! They even agree at my local planning department that if there were bats they would be all over it like a rash!!!!

I have written to my MP and The PM. I have received replies that the DCLG are now looking at our own personal situation but I want to ensure no one else has to go through such a ridiculous situation like this in the future.

I shall go to the thyroid forum in a second too. Thanks for the tip!
