About globulin.
The exact number varies with the lab.
It's something you need to discuss with your doctor and in conjunction with other tests - a single number on its own doesn't tell anyone anything much at all.
what is globulin?...I have fatty liver disease should I know this?
Good Morning,
As MisterX mentioned the range can vary depending on the lab, so it is best to ask your GP about this as they will have the reference range available.
Also can I confirm you are you worried about your Immunoglobulins – antibodies found in the body?
Kind regards

Thanks Mr X. Thanks Sandy. Sandy...im worried about the fear of a damaged liver, because a year ago... i did my LFT n i was told my liver was twenty percent damaged but didnt need any medication except change of diet and no intake of alcohol. Now testing a year after with my globulin being 4.8 of my lab range that is 2.0/4.8 got me a little afraid with my number on the dot. Now im afraid whether that twenty percent has restored or worsened.
Hi magnificent,
When you had raised LFT’s did you have any other tests to confirm you had a liver condition? LFT’s can go up and down if you have an infection, or are ill in any other way, when they are taken. Did you have a follow up test to confirm they were still raised?
Can I ask who told you your liver was 20% damaged and gave you the advice about diet and not drinking alcohol?
Sorry to ask again but can you confirm it is your Immunoglobulin that is raised?
Kind regards
Sandy Forsyth
