As long as your not drinking out of the toilet mate I would say it's pretty safe! ;-)

I agree with nbee, little or no risk from sharing cups, towels, flannels etc. There is a risk from exposure to an infected person's body fluids such as blood but even the risk from saliva is recognised as being mostly theoretical. regards phil

It seems to me that you appear to be something of a hypochondriac. This matter and your concerns should be referred to you gp.

You cannot get HIV or hepatitis B or C by just drinking or sharing a toilet; there needs to be blood to blood contact, it is different for hepatitis A but this is a shortish illness that will eventually cure.

Hi 07, If you are concerned that you may have been exposed to an STD, HIV or hepatitis then your best action will be to go to an STD clinic (which if you are in the UK is free I believe) and get yourself tested. Better to be safe than sorry. If you are friendly with people you suspect may have STDs or Blood borne conditions such as HIV, then make sure you dont partake in any of their activities which put you at risk, such as unprotected sex or sharing needles.

thnks a lot for your answers but I live with a friend who have unprotected sex with whores. I think this is a dangerous situation for him and I think he put me in danger too. We sometimes use same towel and same glass same bathroom and toilet I am really afraid .

But as I understand from your responses you say that serious ilnesses arent pass in these ways. Am I right?

Your friend is putting his own health at risk. You have to take care of your own hygiene and safety. If you are concerned that by sharing the stuff in the bathroom with your friend then don't do so. Keep your own ones and keep yourself safe. All the advice you have been given already is good and you arn't at risk by sharing the same toilet as your friend, however you do need to avoid the sharing of things which may lead to an exchange of body fluids.

It is up to you to protect yourself, if worried that you may have picked something up already then get yourself tested as already suggested.

Just look after yourself, maintain a good standard of personal hygiene and don't engage in hazardous activities yourself.

Good Afternoon,

Comein_07 that is correct; Hepatitis B & C are blood borne viruses (BBV’s), which means they are spread through blood to blood contact, it is very unlikely that you will contract hepatitis B or C through normal social activities such as holding hands, kissing, sharing towels, cooking utensils or cups/ plates. However, the risk of infection is increased if you share personal items such as, nail scissors, tweezers, toothbrushes or razors as small amounts of blood can be left behind on these items.

If you are worried that you may have been infected you can go to your GP to be tested for hepatitis B & C and vaccinated against hepatitis B.

Kind regards

Sandy

thnks a lot

Drink from the same cup I doubt you will catch anything. If you are using toilets that are used by many people, I doubt again there is much risk as long as you wash hands thoroughly afterwards.

avoid using towels/cloths other people use as you can catch some skin infestations i.e. scabies but it is unlikely.

Just use common sense and stick to good personel hygiene standards for your self and your family and you should stay safe.

You sound rather worried with many things in your life at the moment, we are here for you on this site to help and wish you all the best.
