As a first routine checkup after one year of surgery - my sister has been told to do BONE DENSITY TEST.
But the lab has informed they are not aware of this test. They have advised to go to ORTHO. Can any one guide from where this tests can be done or whom performs this test.

Bone density test is a very simple test done in a lab. It is a test to see the strength of bones. We do it once before we start hormone agents like Letrozole or Anastrozole, as these drugs tend to affect calcium turnover in bones. The bone density tells us whether the various bones of the body are normal or weak. If they are weak, we even come to know the grade of weakness so we can start appropriate drugs and calcium and Vit D.
