Dull ache

I have a dull ache in my back,directly behind where I had the op,and around the side,and the area is red and and hot,it's been ongoing since Friday,I don't know if I've pulled something or I've got an infection.

I have been going to the gym,and doing the excises the mc Milan instructor has put together for me,but now I ache,any advise please.thank you

'red and hot' hints at infection/ inflammation. Personally I'd be inclined to seek advice to put my mind at rest😊xB
