Period?

Hi just looking for some advice I came off my pill (a week into my pack) on the 25 th July. I had a light bleed from the 30th to the 3rd of August. I have just started bleeding today at first it was very brown now it's brown/red (08.01) could this be my period?

Hi there

The initial bleed you had was probably just a withdrawal bleed, as the hormones level drop. It can sometimes take a few months for your regular bleeding to kick back in, but be aware you would still ovulate. This means you are fertile and the effects of the pill will have worn off, so there is a risk of pregnancy. Chart your bleeds in a diary or on a period app, if you are worried then a pregnancy test would be accurate 3 weeks after last sex.

Thank you for your reply, could it have been a period with it being 11, 12 days late. Can you bleed whilst your pregnant?
