Am I pregnant?

My period is due on the 2nd of February, I've already noticed a few symptoms but so far It's been near impossible to tell from a regular home test. (I have a lot of cheap tests) My breasts have become swollen and my nipples are really red and starting to brown on the areola. I've also been feeling a little but sick lately but I'm unsure if that's to do with this or if I'm being paranoid. I did have a slight bleed when I wiped but I haven't had anything else like that so far, would it be possible to get a blood test or should I wait it out?

Hi there

It is best to wait either 3 weeks since your last un-protected sex, or until your period is late, lighter or shorter than usual, then a urine pregnancy test would be accurate. A GP would only do a blood test as a last resort.‎ There are some very early pregnancy test's available I think it's called Viola (available from Lloyds pharmacy) but that would be the only home PT accurate before a missed period.

Best wishes

Update: I've had a few extra things going on, I don't know if it's relevant or not but I will tell you anyway. I've been having a few mild cramps, and a small bit of spotting today, It hasn't filled a pad or anything like that and I've also been super thirsty. Are these signs I should be looking out for or could that suggest something else?

Hi there

The only way to know if you are pregnant or not is to take a pregnancy test. I know waiting is so difficult but you'd be best to wait until 3 weeks after the unprotected sex. If you feel you can't wait then you should get a early pregnancy test from your local pharmacy.

Best wishes
