hi I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in July 2021 because I was on hrt consultant said over a phone call leave any medication see how it goes while on hrt did tell me to take calcium tablets which I bought over counter and take vit k2 and boron tablets then should have had a 2 year check I had to get in touch and had another density scan and saw a consultant he hadn’t seen my results that day as it was only hour before so said he would send it over to my gp said as I had no fractures leave meds do what I’m doing I have had bad neck pain for months mentioned this he said no nothing to do with osteoporosis I work at my gps and my results came back yesterday receptionist said dr had sent to my chemist alendronic acid and calcium tablets to start so was confused about that I said due to my weak jaw bone I wouldn’t be able to take these alendronic as it can make it worse she said speak to my dr who is off now till 2/jan so got an appointment then I had read that twice year injections was better for my issue with jaw really confused and worried now has anyone else had issues like this and reccomend best treatment also I’m confused with my scores 2021 my neck femur was -2.7 t score z score -1.7 total left femur t score -2.5 z -1.8 AP spine -1.0 t score -0.1 z this time it’s neck femur -2.5 t score -1.3 z score total -2.2 t score -1.3 z spine t score -0.4 0.7 z baffled by it all

Just replying as it may give your questions a boost. It's worrying isn't it when things seem to take so long to get done. I hope somebody chips in here with some advice, I can't give any advice but can understand what you're going through.

Not long to wait now though until the 2 nd and I'm wishing you all the best and that you'll get some answers, make a list so that when you see the Dr there's nothing you forget to ask
