Gooodness, I know exactly where you are coming from radars! I bought myself one of these ages ago - before potholes got to be so bad

I’m not sure it will suit everybody, that sort of thing is very personal plus it is very expensive if it isn’t right for you. I see you can get them (and others) from Amazon who are good for returning things but I don’t know what happens if you decide to return that particular product, you’d need to look into that before you buy.

I do know if it has been taken out for some reason or if I don’t move it into my own car when I’m driving I definitely miss it.

Before I bought it I used to use a feather and down bed pillow and put that behind my back but I find this much better. Even using the Backfriend I still notice some of the potholes - where we live is absolutely awful.

I’ve started putting the middle armrest down and keeping one elbows on that and the one on the door armrest and sort of lifting myself up when the car bumps. That works to a certain extent.

I don’t know what your specific back ailment is, but I swear by this product. I bought it to use in a chair, but ended up leaving it in my car because it helped so much.

thanks, I have mild to moderate wedge compression fracture of t12, I have been looking on Amazon there are a lot, will they work on a soft sofa don't fancy sitting on a hard chair.

I can’t honestly say. It may be too thin to provide support on a sofa. My issue is too much arch in my lower back and this sort of equalizes that difference between lumbar and thoracic spine and keeps me straight. I tried various cushions and this was the only one I did not return. Have to try them on like shoes!

do you sit on a hard chair not very comfortable. don't know what to do now then if they only work on certain chairs.

I have had to experiment with different chairs. For TV watching, I have a relatively firm backed sofa and chair, so I position a regular throw pillow behind me to support mid to upper back. So I use amazon cushion for the car and not too thick throw pillow for tv room. I have so many different pillows that I’ve collected over the years because of this!

I only have occasional back pain and use this for sitting on the sofa. It’s reasonably supportive and comfortable.

When I had a T9 compression fracture I got one of these on Amazon. Used it on my chairs and in the car. amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QJ6VHFD?...

I also bought a pressure cushion for at home which helped.

Hi, I have several compression features and purchased this from Amazon last year. I have found it very comfortable and has helped to make driving comfortable ( I do take care over speed bumps though). I haven’t used it inside yet as it’s primarily designed for the car but it is light and could be moved easily.amzn.eu/d/1DwH4mD

Hope you find what your looking for and good luck.

In a car I sit on very firm wedge or thick cushion. It insulates me from the bumps a bit

I hate bucket seats, but all the cars seem to have them---so uncomfortable. I use a flat cushion to sit on and also a softer one to support my back. It helps when going over speed bumps on the roads and when hubby sometimes drives over the curb when making a right-hand turn.
