Putting weight on safely

I’ve always been underweight but I’ve lost a little more recently and want to put it back on. I have a gluten free diet, fairly healthy diet (but love crisps 😂) don’t like sweet stuff. Anyone have advice on this? Any good protein mixes/shakes recommended? Thanks x

If you're eating healthily but losing weight, then either you're not eating enough, or there's an underlying problem that needs discussing with your GP. I'd try increasing your portion sizes and it that doesn't help, make an appointment with your GP.

Thanks, I’ve mentioned it to both my GP and consultant. Not much interest shown tbh.

I’m trying to increase portion sizes.

Eat more often. Squeeze in an additional meal or snack whenever you can, such as before bed.

Snack on nuts and seeds.

Hi,I am gluten free too. I would think eating more potato and if you have / use dairy add more butter and eat more cheese. Even if you have lactose intolerance you can get lactose free alternatives. Beans and nuts are also high in calories.

If you have lost a significant amount of weight though I would get it checked out again - I lost weight suddenly last year and my doctor took it very seriously! I am waiting for test results to an MRI later this week, so please mention it again as a priority.

Hiya, I feel for you as I’m the same re weight and trying hard to increase portion sizes as someone else mentioned. If you look at the bulk website they offer weight gainer powder with protein etc in them. Try take whatever shake you choose before bed also when I lost a lot of weight I was even toldjust eat whatever u fancy to get the weight on as did lose about stone but mine was to do with worry / stress of being in pain I know believe. Def push it with the GP as if you are eating more etc you should not be still losing weight. Take care x

Thanks! This sounds similar as I have an ongoing pain issue (not osteoporosis) that causes me worry and stress. So I get an upset tummy first thing. I’ll check out the website thank you. I’ve just had bloods taken at the hospital so if they are all ok with no follow up I’ll go back to gp.

I am eating healthy but gaining weight, what's the problem? I thought it may be because of stress but I am not sure. Has anyone come across such problem? I found Xenical at this pharmacy canadadrugsdirect.com/onlin... and wonder does it really work? I would like to try it.
