Thyme’s estrogen effect.

I got interested in thyme as a natural way to improve bone density but in researching thyme on Rx list I learned it can have an estrogen effect. That would mean breast cancer survivors like me should not take it. That would explain its effectiveness for bone density. Too bad for me; afraid to take it.

Wow thanks for the heads-up! Can you sight the research where you saw this. I am a 6 yr BCsurvivor and have made it my mission to stay as homeopathic in my treatment as possible- thyme was one herb included in my regimen.

I’ve been trying to post the link but it’s not accepted. Is there a prohibition against links? The site Rxlist.com is an information site for medical and other persons. You can go there and search “thyme” and other herbs, medications etc. It is a well respected reference site.

That's great Karenjaninaz, there is no prohibition to post links, but you know what computers are....they do misbehave sometimes.

Anyway you now gave us the link, I did visit the site and found it very informative. It is certainly a respected site. Thank you very much for letting us know.

Thank you Karenjaninaz, , could you please send us the link to the website where you have found that info? I would be very interested to browse this site, as I am sure other members would be too.
