Is it possible to have alkaline phosphatase within the normal range but still have elevated bone loss?

I have what very, very clearly seems to be rapid bone loss due to a bad reaction to a substancebut my AP level is normal (if anything, on the low side). My face is very visibly different - extremely hollowed eyes, my entire head is much smaller from all angles. I have an elevated P1NP and IGF. Could it be possible to have normal AP and still have bone loss? Would a bone-specific AP be likely to show any different?
