Hi Caradomben no I don’t take lercanidipine, but I take my BP medication in the morning. Have you been told when to take it? Then follow instructions as once I changed from morning to evening and had bad palpitations. Hopefully someone else on here with experience of lercanidipine will reply. Take care.

Hi Caradomben I take lercanidipine 10mg in the morning before eating, I have some side effects, but if I take it at night it’s much worse.

Hello Caradomben, I’ve been taking lercanidipine daily for a couple of years now. I take it in the morning before breakfast. I don’t have any side effects from it but I don’t think it reduces my BP that much either but it was never very high anyway.

Probably the best thing as the most well known side effect is swollen ankles.

Yes that fast heart rate and pounding is definitely a side effect

Hello Caradomben, I take lercanidipine around 5pm before my evening meal. I tend to eat my main meal at lunchtime so I’m not actually taking my tablet on an empty stomach. I found taking it any earlier gave me awful awful acid reflux, but I do get a bad headache soon after taking it whatever time of day I try. I take an omeprazole most mornings before breakfast to try and elevate the acid.
