Hi SharonJay, It can take a while for the medications to work. I know it took months before I saw any change, but if you are concerned go back to your doctor. Hope you get it under control soon.
When I started on amlodipine four months ago I saw a reduction right away. It wasn't super. But within two weeks my blood pressure was excellent and remains that way today.
