Does working nights and then day shifts have an affect on my BP

Hi uk60, my husband works permanent nights, 4 on - 4 off and it doesn't seem to affect his blood pressure any more than it did when he was working permanent days. The work you do is more likely to have an effect than when you are doing it, I think. I guess not liking night work could have an effect too. My husband isn't hypertensive though and not on any medication for that, though he is diabetic, so has to watch his blood pressure. Hope that helps a little bit.

if you don't get enough sleep it will have an effect I think.
