How we work: technical support

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to share a quick, informative post about the technical support available to you at HealthUnlocked and how it all works. Let's jump to it!

Help Centre

If you have any questions about how to use our site such as, “How do I follow or unfollow a community?” or “I can’t remember my password - how can I log in?”, the first place to check is our Help Centre.

Just (1) scroll to the bottom of your community and click "Help Centre" OR (2) copy & past to your browser the URL support.healthunlocked.com OR (3) Click/tap your profile image and select “Help”.

Our Help Centre is full of step-by-step articles with answers to our most frequently asked questions. Most popular answers here: support.healthunlocked.com/... If you have a query about something, chances are you can find the answer there.

The Help Centre also contains articles with information about HealthUnlocked as a platform, and resources for you to access mental health support, should you need it. If we’re missing something you think is important, or if something isn’t clear enough in our articles, please get in touch and let us know! Thanks to the members' feedback, we keep learning and improving every day.

Who to Contact When

If you love the site and want to say "Congrats", have suggestions to improve it or if you notice any technical problems, please reach out to the HealthUnlocked team directly by clicking on "Help" or "Help Centre" as mentioned above and then on "Ask". Your will be asked to select the reason why you're contacting us as context will improve our ability to help you! As per the image uploaded with this post.

If you have a technical issue

It’s really helpful for us to have as many details as possible as our team will try to reproduce it. Sending us a screenshot of what you're seeing when the issue happens would be brilliant!

If you have ideas on how we can improve - Feedback

Our team is constantly working on improvements for you to have a safe and outstanding experience connecting with your peers.

Maintaining the site and improving it mean we have a long list of ideas and projects we want to get round to. Prioritisation is key here! This means tasks are assigned a score according to (1) the potential value to the platform as a whole and (2) the amount of effort it requires from our team to develop.

Be assured, if you requested an improvement and it seems like it’s not getting done, we’ve not forgotten about it! We’re just waiting for the right time to start work on it, or working on more pressing things in the meantime.

Your feedback and input into HealthUnlocked is really valuable and helps inform all of our decisions. Be assured, what you share with us is important and that we are listening. This help us to keep on learning as we continue to sustain this live-changing network for health.

As always, thank you for your trust and passion to connect with other living with similar health challenges or interest!

Hello JohnPepper,

Thanks for your message. I double checked and we have replied to all your recent emails, including the latest one you sent two weeks ago. Please do not reply to any emails you have subscribed to on HealthUnlocked, if you need to contact us use the instructions above.

As mentioned, our Help Centre has great, simple articles. This one is perfect for you to try out in other communities (not this one). support.healthunlocked.com/...

Please remember that this particular community is just for HU staff to write a post. Members are more than welcome to reply though!

I hope this helps. Take care

I get so confused at my age, I find it very hard to click on this link or that link, which take me to another link, which I am required to click somewhere else. All I want to know is how do I pose a question or make a cpomment on the HU platform?

Hey John,

You know how to comment on threads other people started because you're doing so here. If your question is how to start a new thread, click on health unlocked in the top center of the page and then it will invite you to choose the community you want to comment in. Click on that community and then fill in the title of your post. Below the line goes the body of your post.

Was that clear?

How do I bring that page up if I am starting from scratch. Do I google HealthUlocked?

JohnPepper, If you can type

health unlocked.com into your browser address bar, it will bring you to the platform.

If you can type healthunlocked.com followed by a slash and the name of the community you want to post on, that should take you directly to the home page of that community.

This is what to type into your browser address bar for your Parkinsons community home page:

healthunlocked.com/cure-parkinsons

You should then see a blue Write Button (on the right of the page), as shown in this picture.

Click on the blue Write button to start writing a new post.

Like you John I get confused and I'm only 85. However, you have found your way to the lung section - if this is what you want you're OK. I have found it OK to use the "reply" to a similar question you want to ask - and a lot of helpful people pop up with advice.Sometimes I find that if you ask a question in isolation - the chance of it being picked up by one of your kindred spirit is reduced - as they are a very close friendly community.

Keep trying... 👌
