Packaging was no part of my smoking I did because my mates did and the cost moved me onto rolling my own with no filters a stupid thing I know but nothing strange about this 30and 40 years ago. The young ones are not in the same world we were but smoking is still been part of a group with mates doing the same things.
Australia has already plain packaging in place much to the chagrin of the Tobacco pedlars. With frightening pictures on each pack. Also, tobacco products cannot be displayed in supermarkets or other retail shops and cigaratte machines have been banned from all pulic places including pubs, clubs, bus and rail stations. Australia now has one of the lowest tobacco "take-ups" in the World.

I refuse to dwell on the smoker I was. I thought I looked like Veronica Lake (for those who remember her) but on reflection I was more like Miss Piggy!!! Thats history. Sixteen years history. It doesn't change the fact I have COPD today and much more important how can I manage this condition? Been out and bought feather free pillows. I spent Easter Monday in A&E a doctors call out, (only the second in fifteen years) on Tuesday and tomorrow will see me queuing up for an appointment. the treatment isn't woring this time and I am sick and tired of being sick and tired
