Collapsed lung

I had a collapsed lung just after Christmas after an emergency operation for appendicitis. My problem is that it still hurts to take deep breaths. Any ideas why?

Hello JohnMina74 . I am sorry to read about your trying time. I am assuming you are still under doctor's care for your collapsed lung? I know it usually takes weeks to fully recover, but if you still have pain it might be best to consult with your doctor. Just to be sure. They may need to do an x-ray to make sure all is as it should be . Take care. xx 🍀🐞🌿

Thank you for your reply, but at the moment no one can get near the doctors due to covid-19. I know I need to go back, I just hope it doesn't get worse again. Stay safe 😷

I understand. 😊But if there is any sudden worsening, please call an ambulance. Take care. xx 👋

You should be able to have a telephone conversation with your doctor who can advise and make arrangements for an xray. I had a text last week so say my gp surgery would be open for the easter break. Hope you get better soon x
