I have no good news from the hospital, I'm afraid. I have breast cancer, it's small and treatable😊but a lung nodule has come back, 23mm, after they had disappeared 😔Because I'm getting a cold and my breathing is hopeless I was very dejected and angry. I just thought I had managed a to get a break from cancer and tumours and be free for a while, but life is a minefield and one step forward, 3steps back. I am pretty indifferent to the breast as it is treatable, but my only other lung is now acting up again. Thanks so much for listening. As soon as my cold is cured I will be up and at 'em again, but for now I'm going to bed with a good whisky! Ha e a lovely evening all😊👍🥃🥃😔😁Love spicy Bev

I know how you are feeling, how dejected and let down you must feel. Tomorrow is another day for both of us, we can only keep battling on, we have no other real choice. Remember, that a nodule can be benign, no matter how unwelcome that squatter is. I have yet to learn just what is going on as well. We will have to go together a virtual journey of fact finding. I hope your outcome is the right one, with your only lung.

So sorry to hear this. Have a decent tipple and try to sleep. When you’re low with one thing everything else looms larger. These nodules seem to be so unpredictable. Best wishes.

Hi not exactly but I called Respiratory team last week as I didn’t have a follow up appointment. They called back on Tuesday to say it hadn’t been reported on yet but they would get me a Clinic appointment as soon as they can so just waiting.
My largest nodule is 9 mm so yours is a lot bigger. They mentioned biopsy if growing once bigger than 10mm but wether that will happen or not I don’t know.
Well I find that I annoy my Resp. Consultant because I write or call, he usually gives me a quicker appointment. The thing with a 9mm nodule is that it's really very small for them to biopsy it, with my radiologist, all she did was make my lung bleed and didn't get any tissue! So be careful of that! I have heard from great people on here who had 20mm nodules also, so I'm not always sure what criteria they work on. I am resting now and not really getting up until the weekend, colds take longer with us dodgy lung people😉😁🤗Have a restful evening yourself Otto11😊👍🥃
Hi there. I hope you don’t mind me intruding here. I just got told by my respiratory team that I have an 8mm module on my upper right lobe and some white showing (can’t remember exactly what the words were he thought could be inflammation) on bottom of left lung. They are rescanning in 2 months to see if it is gone. They were looking at me for pulmonary hypertension as I am very out of breath. I also have a kidney transplant with stage 5 CKD. Is this something to worry about?
Hi. Poor you that’s a shock for you. I’m probably not the best person to ask as mine is apparently linked with my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Rheumatoid Nodules are generally formed from inflammatory tissue which can be benign but they can recheck if they grow as can possibly turn to cancer I believe or that’s what I’ve been told. White areas can be several things from inflammation to infection or things I know nothing about I’m afraid. I’ve had several nodules over the past few years the biggest was/is 9 mm so too small to biopsy. Hopefully when they rescan the results will be improved which is why they rescan. It’s hard not to worry though. Hope someone else here can give you their input on nodules as I don’t know much more. Let us know how you get on xx
Thanks so much. It was a bit of a shock as we lost my dad to lung cancer in 2013. He was only 63. But I am not going to worry as you say until the next scan. I have had 3 clots in my lungs so maybe it is related. I will put it up as a separate post. I am a complicated case. I hope you are doing well in this strange time of covid. Take care xx
Sorry to hear about your dad. Yes put it up separate everyone has a different take on things & May be able to help you more. My nodules kept on increasing here there & everywhere then clusters of them then some got smaller but another new one arrived. They are not too concerned about mine but you have the pulmonary hypertension too so it’s different for you. Good luck with it all. Xx

Hi Gingerapple, you are extremely courageous I can see! I had what I was told was terminal cancer over 20 years ago, then radiotherapy affected my already damaged lungs, now I’m on oxygen as needed! I can honestly say asthma, bronchiectasis and COPD are much harder to cope with than breast cancer! I really admire your attitude, it’s so encouraging enviable! Big hug 🥰
Thank you Dietrech😊I understand what you mean, but sadly I only have one lung left and that has now nodules again and could be cancerous, I don't know yet. Due to lung cancer 15 years ago I had a left lung resection and also have COPD and asthma, so I do know what you are going through. Breathlessness is a heavy burden, it 'simply' makes your whole life a battle with breathing and every day living tasks and dressing, showering is all a days work in half an hour. This is a tremendous struggle, so I can identify with you❤🦸♀️💐Blessings to you🤗, Bev
